NBL D1 Preview (17/18 Jan 2026) - Live Stats, streaming, schedule and more

Big games are everywhere you look this weekend, from top to bottom and in both Pools.

BCU and Barnet are both in double-header action, as are top four contenders Myerscough, St Helens and Barking.

In the list below, a * is for Pool A games, and a + is for Pool B games.

Gr-eight week in Pool A

A sizable eight games make up Pool A's offering this weekend, with some headline contests that will further shape the standings.

After a long layoff (last playing on 13 December), Myerscough are back in action. Their double-header weekend includes hosting leaders Worcester and a Sunday trip to 7-4 St Helens.

BCU are also playing twice, with a Friday night clash against Cardiff and a home tie against resurgent Teesside and reigning Player of the Week Mike Hood. 

Elsewhere, 9-4 Sheffield Arrows and 8-4 Manchester Magic will tussle for the points as they both try to keep up their push for the title.

On that front, six Pool A teams are all on four losses right now, with BCU narrowly ahead on three. The next few months of action are set up perfectly across the league, to say the least.

More double-ups in Pool B

Barking, Greenwich and Cobham are all playing twice this weekend, with BA looking to close the gap to leaders Solent, and the Titans and Cobras hoping to push up the standings and away from the bottom two.

Leaders Barnet are in action for the first time since 20 December, hosting a crunch tie against 8-3 London Stars. Both teams can go level at the top with a win, providing extra incentive for what should already be a highly-anticipated tie.

London Lions II and CoLA will go at it for the change to edge closer to the playoff spots, and London Elite will hope for their first win of the season on Sunday as they entertain three win Greenwich, who will be playing the second leg of their double-header.
