2025/26 NBL Awards week: NBL Division Two

Following on from Monday's D3 announcement and D2W yesterday, it's time for NBL Division Two to move into the spotlight.

Based on performances across the regular season, we'll also be announcing the WNBL Division One awards tomorrow before NBL Division One on Friday ahead of this weekend's Senior Playoff Finals at Manchester's National Basketball Performance Centre.

Wilson Players of the Year

Four worthy recipients headline this season's crop of D2M Wilson Players of the Year, starting with Pool A's Cam Schainfeld.

The American standout left his mark on a 17-1 season for Tees Valley, bringing plenty of success to the North East outfit with his level of play.

With Oaklands Wolves going a perfect 18-0 to top Pool B, they were always a likely destination for recognition. That proves to be the case as former D1M winner Reis Pinnock gets the nod for 2025/26, following up a successful stint at Reading with more good times for the Wolves.

Karl Teesdale is Pool C's winner, helping Gloucester City Knights to a spotless 18-0 record of their own.

38 points, 11 assists and four steals in the team's final regular-season clash, a 114-74 victory over Reading Rockets II, was a perfect example of the heights that Teesdale has been hitting during the current campaign.

That just leaves Pool D's winner, with promising 17-year-old Jamaul McAllister helping to steer Sussex Storm to a 15-3 record atop the standings.

Adding to his GB U16 call up in 2024, McAllister continues to go from strength-to-strength as a bright talent honing his talents in the NBL.

Wilson Coaches of the Year

Steve Butler has been a huge part of Tees Valley Mohawks for years, and his Pool A Coach of the Year award is further proof of his value to the North East side, securing the Pool A title for the Mohawks in the process.

Liam Jefferson is also recognised for his part in Oaklands perfect regular-season, with Gloucester City's Jay Marriott also getting the nod for doing the same in Pool C.

No stranger to this award as a previous NBL recipient, Daniel Hildreth adds to his CBL honour from earlier this season with an NBL one to boot.

The Sussex Storm man continues to earn the respect of his peers for his work with the Storm, and it's no surprise given their success in recent years.

Senior Playoff Finals

Today's awards continue the week of NBL and WNBL end-of-season honours in the lead up to this weekend's senior playoff finals at the National Basketball Performance Centre in Manchester.
