Great Britain make two roster changes for final EuroBasket Women’s 2027 First Round Qualifier against Norway

GB secured their qualification for the second phase of qualifying last Wednesday with a commanding win in Switzerland and followed it with a hard-fought victory at home against Austria - but now Norway stand in the way of head coach Krumesh Patel and his side’s goal of concluding the window undefeated.

Replacing Chantel Charles and Kristine Anigwe from the roster of players which secured victory over Austria are young stars Bo Guttormsdottir-Frost of the Oaklands Wolves and Manchester Basketball’s Irene Oboavwoduo.

Patel said: “We’ve enjoyed a positive window so far with strong progress made by the roster from our first session to this point. The environment has been focused yet relaxing and everyone enjoying.

“We’re pleased to be 2-0 and to have secured our spot in the next round, but the job isn’t finished. We have a challenge against Norway tomorrow night and we need to put our best foot forward if we’re to achieve our goals of going unbeaten in this window.

“The players and staff have applied themselves extremely well throughout the camp and we’re eager to end a solid week on the right note tomorrow night in Manchester.”
