Regional Chair - South West, West Midlands, East and South East

Basketball England are seeking 4 regional chairs in the South West, West Midlands, South East and East regions. The role is vital to supporting basketball development at local and regional levels of the sport. The volunteer role will develop relationships with Area Associations, Leagues, Club and other partners to support basketball development in areas such as coaching, officiating, competition and participation. 

The successful applicant will champion and add value to basketball within the region and act as an advisory point of contact for regional matters. They will also be based in the region they will be Chair of. Further information about the role can be found on 'Regional Chair Profile' button below.

University of Sussex Men’s and Women's Basketball Coaches

The University of Sussex is looking to recruit an experienced basketball coach to work with the men’s team for the 2022/23 academic year.  The team is very well established and high performing, currently competing in BUCS league 2.

Training sessions are on Tuesdays 5-6.30pm and Fridays 7-9pm and take place at the University of Sussex Sportcentre.  Games are on Wednesday afternoons. 

The University is also looking to recruit an experienced basketball coach to work with the women’s team for the 2022/23 academic year.  The team is very well established and high performing, coming off the back of a Division 2 win and cup win, and will be competing in BUCS Division 1 next season.

Training sessions are on Tuesdays 6.30-8pm and Fridays 7-9pm and take place at the University of Sussex Sportcentre.  Games are on Wednesday afternoons. 

Rates of pay vary for both roles are based on qualifications and experience from £18.56 to £24.24 per hour.

Kent Tigers Basketball Club based in the Dartford area of Kent, South East England, is a community driven club. Founded on the desire of creating a truly community focused and elite basketball club within the Kent region. They provide a complete pathway for both boys and girls starting at U12’s all the way to our senior Men’s and Women’s team.

Liberty Woodlands School - Basketball Coach

Liberty Woodlands School in South East London is looking for a basketball coach to fulfil a 10 week programme from September to December 2022.

The sessions are as follows: 

  • Tuesdays @ 3pm-4pm for 8-15 & 9-11 year olds
  • Fridays @ 12pm-1pm for 8-15 &  9-11 year olds
