Week 21 of the NBL did not disappoint, with plenty of eye catching performances out on the floor. Here are the five stand out performers that make up our Players of The Week.
Nottingham saw off Bury St. Edmunds Bulldogs 107-97 at the weekend and largely have Miller to thank for winning the high scoring contest.
Miller posted over half of his side's points, with a monster 55-point showing the highest recorded this season as he got Nottingham the win.
He said: "It was a great team win even though we were short ended. The guys made sure to find me early in the game and their confidence helped me through the entire game. There’s a moment where I got a little colder from the floor, but they kept telling me to shoot, so I did."
Brighton roared to a 95-52 win over Northamptonshire Titans in week 21, with Pitcher at the forefront of everything good about Brighton's performance.
The 18-year-old hit 20 of her side's points as they eased to a win to stay second in the standings.
Coach Mat Glasson was delighted for Pitcher, saying: "Francesca’s improvement over the past 18 months has been so impressive, and this award recognises that progress. We are all so proud of her!"
Going into week 21 things were looking bleak for Sussex Bears, who were languishing at the bottom of the D2M standings.
But they had something to smile about this weekend after pulling off a shock 96-73 win to pull them off the foot of the table.
Seduikis was integral to Bears' vital win, finishing the game with a fine 28-point, 14-rebound double-double as he takes this week's award.
He said: “I’m honoured to be named player of the week. It was a great win for us, we started with energy, we had a good vibe going on, we showed great defence and everything just clicked for us. An amazing team effort got us the win,”
Cavaliers saw off Nottingham Trent University in another high scoring clash in the NBL, with the final score being 101-94 tin the hosts' favour.
Voynova helped her side break the century with a double-double (26pts,14reb,3ast) which was vital as they saw off the challenge of Nottingham and Arielle Jackson, who scored a huge 53 points for the visitors.
Diana said: “This was a great team win with everyone contributing. I’m proud of my teammates and the way we have been playing after Christmas. We have another tough game coming this Saturday which will be a good test for us.”
Coach Clarence Hicks added: “Diana has been a true testament of leading by example. The hard work and dedication she has put in this season is unparalleled. She is what team-first basketball is all about.”
Solent's incredible season continued with a perfect double header weekend which saw them win before winning 110-78 on the road to Reading Rockets.
Smith was the star of the show in Sunday's fixture as he posted a triple-double (23pts/10reb/14ast) to make it a perfect weekend for Kestrels.
Smith said: "It’s always an honour to be chosen as the player of the week. It doesn’t happen without an amazing performance from my coaches & teammates."
