England U15s enjoyed a positive camp in Montenegro with a quartet of games against local opponents.

Following a successful few days at the U15 Home Nations Invitational last weekend, the England Boys and Girls contested a pair fixtures each and undertook training sessions as part of the players’ development on the England Talent Pathway.

The games took place in the city of Bar against Montenegro and Buducnost Poggorica with the teams picking up a win each.

Boys Head Coach Charlie Haynes said:

"Montenegro has been a fantastic camp. It’s provided the group an opportunity to train together daily in a wonderful facility, grow in cohesion and compete against talented competition.

"It has been really beneficial for the boys to experience a faster, more physical style of play than they are used to back home. We are excited for the challenge coming up in Valencia at the Jr NBA tournament, and Montenegro has been a big success in regards to our preparation."

Girls Head Coach Caitlyn Riley said:

"It’s been a great experience  and a great opportunity for the girls to face a tough opponent that challenged us in every aspect of the games.

"We came out strong in the first game, really putting together what we have been working on from day one of selection camp. This allowed us to play with confidence and control the tempo at both ends of the floor.

"The second game saw us being pushed more than we have before in a close game throughout, losing out by one point. Credit to Montenegro for challenging us, this has been great preparation for the high intensity that we’ll face in upcoming games. Also highlighting where we need to improve, and fine tune these details ready for Valencia."
