Four teams are now separated by just two points, with only two weeks of regular-season action remaining.
Wins for Worthing and Bradford kept their survival hopes alive, whilst Hemel keep on edging towards the regular season title.
We take a look back at all the weekend's match-ups below, with links to live stats at the bottom of the page.
With their backs firmly against the wall, Worthing produced an inspired performance to knock off City of Birmingham Rockets 97-92.
Needing a victory to keep themselves in touch with the teams above them, 29 points from Elijah Maynard plus 24 more from Bode Adeluola got Thunder over the line for their sixth win of the season.
With the game delicately poised at 66-66 going into the final frame, the winner was anything but decided, and multiple lead changes in the quarter further added to the tension.
Maynard would net six times from the foul line in the final few minutes, plus a triple from Malachi Boakye-Yiadom (14pts), providing just enough production to fend off the Rockets in the end.
CoB were led by a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double from forward Luke Okosieme, with only team-mate Lucas McGregor (16pts, 5reb) able to pass the 15-point mark in support despite the visitors shooting 51% in the contest.
Worthing's survival bid now heads to Derby next weekend for a road date with the Trailblazers, and CoB will try to keep themselves in the playoff spots in two week's time against the same opponent in their final regular-season game.

Newcastle Knights (8-13) couldn't slow down Milton Keynes Breakers (13-8), though they certainly gave them a run for their money with a narrow 84-77 final score.
MK's push for the top four continued behind 20 points from KJ Johnson, with Ronald Blain (13 pts, 9reb, 9ast) providing a near triple-double for the Knights in defeat.
Bristol Hurricanes (9-13) nearly put an end to their losing streak before coming up agonisingly short against Hemel Storm (18-3), losing 91-87.
The league leaders had to overcome 24 points from Elvisi Dusha plus an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double from Daniel Edozie to move another step closer to the title, as Storm's Matt Ellis (29pts, 13reb) provided a strong outing for the visitors.
Bradford Dragons (6-15) started their double-header weekend with a 106-77 defeat against second place Reading Rockets (17-5), coming unstuck due to a 27 point outing from Reading guard Mitch Clarke, who dropped five triples as part of his game-high haul.
London Cavaliers (7-13) have lost six in a row and are now firmly in the scrap for the bottom two following a tough 88-84 defeat against Derby Trailblazers (15-7)
Justin Robinson (22pts) and AJ Roberts (21pts) looked to have got the Cavs back on track only for the Malcolm Smith-inspired Trailblazers to secure the win, with the American enjoying a team-high 22 points and team mate Jonas Dieterich (22pts, 6/6 3pt) going perfect from beyond the arc.
Essex Rebels (13-9) were able to survive a late fightback from Nottingham Hoods (7-15), winning 91-87 despite a 24-point, 11-rebound double-double from Greg Skoric.
Trailing by as many as 15 points earlier in the game, the Hoods roared back to get within a point down the stretch, but the final basket needed to erase their deficit fully would prove elusive.
Essex enjoyed 23 points and seven assists from Luke Busumbru, with Emmanuel Kanwei (22pts, 8reb) also playing well.
Essex couldn't make it two from two in Sunday's only game though, coming up short 84-83 in dramatic fashion against Bradford Dragons.
Neither team was able to lead by more than five points across a thrilling final quarter, which was in keeping with the rest of the contest where neither side led by more than eight.
Cool free throw shooting at the death from Micah Savery-Richards (20pts, 9reb) would hand the Dragons a priceless win, with the Rebels' Emmanuel Kanwei (27pts, 12reb) playing well once again.
