All-London Final set, Wolves resurgent

The BBL Trophy Final was set on Sunday with both clubs from London advancing to set up a showdown on Sunday 10 March at the Emirates Arena, in Glasgow.

Worcester Wolves earned their first win since opening night with an 84-79 success against Surrey Scorchers before claiming their third victory as they saw off Plymouth Raiders 74-91 away from home behind 25 points and 11 rebounds from Deshawn Freeman.

London City Royals set up a Finals showdown with London Lions after both teams came through their last four matchups over the weekend. The Lions locked down their place on Thursday, despite a 100-105 loss to Manchester Giants in the Second Leg with a 201-179 overall success before the Royals completed a 137-169 aggregate victory over Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks with a 71-83 road win.

Willie Clayton posted 21 points and 25 rebounds for another monster game to lead Manchester Giants to a narrow 76-75 triumph over Esh Group Eagles Newcastle. The victory lifts the Giants to .500 in the league as they quickly put their Semi-Final disappointment behind them.

The Eagles had beaten Glasgow 104-98 in an overtime thriller on Friday night behind 26 points and 12 rebounds from Darius Defoe for another home win.

Leicester Riders temporarily moved top of the BBL Championship after seeing off Bristol Flyers 73-80 before the Lions returned to pole position with a hard-fought 94-101 triumph as Ladarius Tabb fired in 28 points in their 15th league win.

Meanwhile, Surrey ended their losing run with a convincing 90-69 success at home to DBL Sharks Sheffield with four players in double figures for the Scorchers with Dirk Williams passing 1000 BBL Championship points in defeat.
