Oaklands complete benecos WBBL Play-Offs lineup

The eight-team lineup for the benecos WBBL Play-Offs is now confirmed with the individual matchups to be decided on the final weekend.

Oaklands Wolves had their top eight finish secured after BA London Lions fell to a 79-58 loss at Nottingham Wildcats, on Saturday. Chelsey Shumpert scored 33 points for the Wildcats before Oaklands defeated Essex Rebels 60-77 and will finish in eighth with the Suns awaiting.

Durham Palatinates continued their impressive season by avenging their Trophy Final loss with a 63-55 success over Leicester Riders. Theairra Taylor finished with 14 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists to push her side to 11-10.

The Riders remain second, but Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters are a win behind after Alison Gorrell scored 28 points in their 76-72 victory over Manchester Mystics.

Sevenoaks Suns are just one win away from a perfect league season after moving to 21-0 with a 45-84 success at Caledonia Pride. Judit Fritz top scored with 17 points as all eight players were on the scoresheet for the visitors including all-round displays from Cat Carr and Ta'Yani Clark.

Elsewhere, Newcastle Eagles defeated Cardiff Met Archers 77-59 to move to 10-11 in seventh with 19 points for Georgia Ohrdorf.
