There was plenty of exciting action - and lots of free basketball - in the BBL on the first weekend of the final month of the regular season.
Not one, but TWO quadruple overtime thrillers this weekend. Worcester Wolves outlasted Surrey Scorchers 152-150 in the highest scoring game in BBL history on Friday night with 33 points apiece for Rob Crawford and Deshawn Freeman before Radisson RED Glasgow Rocks edged out Bristol Flyers in a 113-111 triumph to move back into fourth spot with 21 points from Kenny Carpenter leading the way.
"The atmosphere of the game was incredible," Crawford said of Friday's historic win.
"It was unreal to play in a game with four OT's and 300+ points combined score for both teams - it felt like a movie."
London Lions move closer to the BBL Championship title after beating Esh Group Eagles Newcastle 101-81 on BBC Sport, on Sunday. Ladarius Tabb posted 32 points along with 14 rebounds as the Lions moved to 22-5 after recovering from an 80-64 reverse at Bristol Flyers on Friday night with Justin Gray putting up 16 points, 13 rebounds and five assists.
Plymouth Raiders occupy the all-important eighth spot in the race for the benecos Play-Offs after they improved to 13-15 with a dominant 56-85 success at DBL Sharks Sheffield, who sit in sixth. Donte Nicholas led the way for the Raiders with 28 points and 14 boards.
Leicester Riders completed a double-winning weekend with an 88-94 success at Cheshire Phoenix to follow an 86-78 home victory over London City Royals. JR Holder top scored in each encounter with a combined 38 points, while the Royals bounced back with a 91-78 win over Worcester on Saturday night as Orlan Jackman posted 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Newcastle had started their weekend with a 102-85 comeback victory against Manchester Giants as Rahmon Fletcher led the recovery from 18 down with a game-high 26 points along with eight assists with Jeremy Smith adding 23 points.
