So you enjoy playing basketball and are interested in playing outside of your studies...but are not sure if joining a club is for you. Well, you have come to the right place, because this section outlines all the reasons why club membership may (or may not) be for you and what will be expected of you once you join.
Club membership puts you in touch with an instant set of friends and teammates and gives you with the opportunity to compete, develop your basketball skills, have fun and get fit.
If you decide club membership is for you, there will be a certain level of commitment needed. The level of commitment will be very different depending on the type of club you want to join.
There are some clubs who play in our National League (which is our highest level of competition) who will train several times a week and play games all around the country. For more information on National League go here.
There are some clubs who play in our Local League who will train and play games weekly in the local area, and are competitive, play to a high standard and are looking to progress through the levels of competition. For more information on Local League go here.
On the other hand, there are other Local League clubs who don’t train at all, and all you need to do is affiliate with them and turn up to play.
So basically, there is a club for everyone.
If you're ready to commit and want basketball to be in your life most of the week, clubs are the answer.
If you want to play competitively and train, make friends, have fun and play recreationally, clubs can offer that too!
There are clubs which exist which aren’t affiliated to us which are social, relaxed and you can just pitch up and play.
Whatever level of ability you are, whatever financial, travel and time commitment you are comfortably make, there is a club out there for you to join.
