Betting and Anti-Corruption.

Basketball England want to protect the integrity of the game and ensure that all games are contested on a level playing field and won on merit.

 

The consequences of illegal sports betting, whether intentional or not, can be very serious. Basketball England has created Anti-Corruption and Betting regulations that apply to all within the sport. This includes but is not limited to:

• Players
• Officials
• Coaches
• Anyone under Basketball England's jurisdictions that could influence the outcome of a game
• Employees, contractors and consultants of Basketball England
• Basketball England Board Members

It is important than anyone that involved in the game is familiar with these regulations and the impact that corruption and betting can have on the sport.

The framework of these regulations are based on UK Sport and Government guidance. It important to remember that these regulations are intended to protect the reputation of the sport, Basketball England and it’s members.
