Clapham Common courts to host NBA 3X - enter a team for free

London’s revamped Clapham Common court will host NBA 3X Presented by Foot Locker – a free 3x3 tournament for over-16s – later this month.

The event is part of a huge summer for the three-a-side version of basketball with Team England chasing medals at the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the Ball Out UK Tour visiting cities around the country.

NBA 3X is open to male and female players at U16, U18 and over-18 and will take place on 23 July 24 July 24 and at the court which was refurbished last year as part of Foot Locker’s ‘Raise the Game’ programme, in partnership with the NBA, Hoopsfix Foundation and Basketball England.

The winners in the men’s and women’s categories will claim an all-expenses-paid trip to the NBA Paris Game 2023 in January which will feature the Chicago Bulls and Detroit Pistons. Foot Locker store vouchers are up for grabs for the U16 and 18 participants.

Launched in 2020, Raise the Game aim is to support, foster and fund the local basketball networks and organisations in Europe that are invested in driving change within their communities through the game, and its culture.

The Clapham Common court upgrade, which was revealed in November 2021, saw it become one of the finest outdoor courts in the country.
