The Sure Shot U16 and U18 finals, plus the NBL and WNBL National Cup finals will still take place on the weekend of 22 and 23 January 2022, and tip times have also remained unchanged.
As the first final for many teams in the last two years, Basketball England wants to ensure the event remains as safe and enjoyable as possible. Significant recent changes regarding COVID-19 have meant that running the event at the original venue of Essex University is now unfeasible.
The decision to move venues was based on:
COVID and the Omicron variant has placed considerable strain on basketball but we are determined the event can be enjoyed as fully as possible by players, parents, fans and families.
Basketball England has worked with the teams in the finals to offer support due to this rearrangement and we want to thank them for their flexibility and understanding in this matter.
We hope all involved understand the need to change the venue.
Any fans that have already purchased a ticket for the finals can contact us to discuss a refund, though all tickets purchased for use in Essex will also be valid in Manchester with no additional changes required.
Anyone requiring a refund on a ticket purchased, should email [email protected] with the order number.
A half-price offer is also in place for anyone wishing to purchase tickets for the weekend. This can be done using the button below.
